Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"We had an enjoyable dinner at Grampi in Zermatt. The meal included bruschetta, spinach & ricotta cannelloni, and carbonara. The bruschetta was well-prepared and attractively presented as a mixed trio with three distinct toppings, offering a creative twist on a classic starter. The spinach & ricotta cannelloni was excellent — rich in flavour, perfectly balanced, and cooked to ideal texture. The carbonara, while well-executed, was slightly too creamy for my personal preference, though those who enjoy a creamier style would likely find it very satisfying. Service was attentive and efficient, and the atmosphere warm and lively. The restaurant does get busy, which speaks to its popularity and consistent quality. Overall, Grampi delivers a thoughtful dining experience with well-crafted Italian dishes and professional service."
"The food portions are huge and totally worth the price. Everything was super tasty — especially the pizza and ribs! You can book directly via Google Maps, and I recommend requesting a window seat for a cozy dinner view. The restaurant opens at 6 PM, so it’s best to make a reservation in advance."
"Great food and wine. I strongly recommend the spare ribs. The lasagna was okay. Prices are normal for the area. The only thing I didn’t like is that they even charge for tap water here."
"Right, firstly you’re in Zermatt, so any expectation of a bargain meal out is out of the question. Like everywhere in the resort, dining out is rather more than you might be used to. However budget for that and you won’t be disappointed! We went as a group of 6 on the first evening of our short ski trip, rather than stocking up at Migros and cooking ourselves. The welcome was warm and enthusiastic. The restaurant was busy (1930hrs Wednesday) but not uncomfortably so. The service was great! Friendly and entertaining- just what you need in this kind of eatery. The menu is fairly predictable but varied enough. The pizzas are superb - I had Diavolo - and the addition of chopped chilli in oil most welcome. The rest of the group enjoyed their meal equally. Would I recommend? Yes, absolutely I would. In fact we went again with a slightly larger group on the Friday too and it was as good again. Grampi’s is a Zermatt favourite clearly so booking in busy times may be advised."
"5-star food at Grampi’s! The lamb chops and seafood pasta are absolute must-tries. Great portions, fresh ingredients, and friendly service. The atmosphere is lovely—definitely a spot I’ll be returning to"
"Great pizza, good soup, lasagna was underwhelming. Got a picture of the ever-elusive chocolate mousse, which was delicious. It was crowded and loud, but we went during ski season, so that's to be expected."
"Strongly recommend making a reservation. We didn’t have a Swiss phone number, so when we tried to walk in the first night, we were turned away. Fortunately, we were able to secure a reservation for the next day. We chose this restaurant based on multiple recommendations, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We ordered the spicy pork ribs and the prawn pasta, and both were excellent. Easily some of the best food we’ve had in Zermatt. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. Would definitely recommend."
"We had a wonderful evening at Grampi’s in Zermatt. The cozy, warm ambiance made the whole experience feel special, perfect after a day in the mountains. We started with the tomato soup, which had a rich, comforting flavor; it would have been perfect if it had been served just a little hotter. The lasagne bolognese was a standout dish, perfectly layered, hearty, and full of flavor. We also tried the vegetarian pizza, which had a great thin crust and fresh toppings. The service was friendly and the atmosphere lively without being overwhelming. Overall, a great spot for a relaxed and tasty dinner in Zermatt!"
